Which Smarty SIM plan is right for me?
Smarty splits their six SIM deals into two loose categories: "Data discount" plans which range from 1GB - 3GB, and their larger plans which range from 30GB - Unlimited data.
Data Discount Plans
These "smaller" SIM plans are 1GB for £6, 2GB for £7 and 3GB for £8 but what makes them interesting and potentially very popular with low-data users, is the refund they give on unused data.
Each month you receive a refund of £1 per unused GB in the previous month. The refund is obviously capped for each plan (eg the 3GB plan can only give back £3 if you use zero data) but for customers looking for a cheap SIM deal it's a really great feature to have!
Larger Plans
They're really showing their Three Mobile heritage here with the large allowance SIM plans. Smarty's largest 3 plans are 30GB for £10, 100GB for £15 (this is a limited time offer and may revert to 50GB at some point) and the excellent Unlimited Data SIM for £20. As with all of Smarty's plans, data allowances are totally unthrottled and the unlimited plan is truly unlimited.

Does Smarty Offer 5G Connectivity?
Smarty's website states 5G connectivity will be happening "soon". Because they run on Three's network it's safe to safe they will have 5G connectivity eventually. If you have a 5G handset already or are considering that you might need a 5G SIM then we suggest you contact Smarty directly for clarification.
Is Smarty a good SIM network for roaming?
Smarty offer free roaming in 35 European destinations on all of their SIM only contracts. If you're planning on going further afield, you will need to "top up" your sim like a PAYG contract and any unused data can be used when you return.

Is my data really unlimited on Smarty's Unlimited plan?
Unlimited data plans are truly unlimited with Smarty. Their fair use policy states anything beyond 1000GB/month is considered to be commercial use - Using your phone 24hrs a day for normal usage would just about use 1000GB per month. When travelling in the EU, customers will be subject to a fair use limit of 19GB each month.
